Kingsland voters to consider two property tax exemptions Nov. 3

Kingsland voters will decide on two city property tax exemption measures in the Nov. 3, 2026, general election.

One measure would exempt increases in the assessed value of a qualifying homestead above its established base-year value from city property taxes. New improvements and property exceeding five contiguous acres would not qualify.

The second measure would lower the eligibility age for the city’s existing $25,000 senior homestead exemption from 65 to 62. If approved, both measures would take effect Jan. 1, 2027.
