Jesse William Martin

October 14, 1985 - October 14, 2026

Jesse William Martin

Jesse William Martin, 41, of Kingsland, passed away on October 14, 2026.

Jesse was born in Gainesville, Florida, to Mary Holmes of Kingsland, and Marty Martin of Lake City, Florida, on October 14, 1985. They moved to Camden County, Georgia, in 1989, where he lived the rest of his life. Jesse graduated from Camden County High School with the Class of 2004, where he proudly played baseball for the Wildcats. He spent much of his childhood and teenage years on the baseball field, where he made many of his lifelong friends. In 2010, Jesse met Jasmine, who would later become his wife and the love of his life. From the moment they met, they were inseparable. They had what you describe as true love. Jasmine was Jesse’s entire life and she never had to want for anything. Jesse gave her the world! Jasmine had a son, Brodie, who Jesse loved from the very beginning like he had known him his whole life. They built a beautiful life together and had two more children, Brielle and Blayne. His kids and family were truly his whole world. Jesse was dedicated to his work and worked hard to build his career with Walmart, where he became the Store Manager of the Waycross, Georgia location (Store #556). He cared about his associates and treated them like family. He gave countless people opportunities to better themselves and helped them succeed. He had a heart of gold and would have given the shirt off his back to anyone in need. To know Jesse was to know someone full of life without a filter. His smile was contagious and he could make anyone laugh, even on their worst day. When Jesse wasn’t at work, he loved spending days at the beach with his family, playing golf, and watching the Georgia Bulldogs and the Atlanta Braves. He was a true Georgia boy through and through. You might even catch him singing and playing the guitar. He loved Christmas, Halloween, and decorating for the holidays. Jesse didn’t know a stranger. He would do the same for a stranger as he would someone he had known his whole life. Losing someone like Jesse without warning is devastating, but he lived his life without warning. That is what made him Jesse. He spent his last moments enjoying his life, and his memory will live on in all of the lives he touched.

Jesse was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather and namesake, William Martin; his paternal grandmother; his maternal grandparents; his sister-in-law, Stephanie Johnson; and his niece, Gianna Johnson.

Jesse is survived by his wife, Jasmine Martin; children, Brodie Sheppard, Brielle Martin, and Blayne Martin; mother, Mary Holmes (Jr Holmes); father, Marty Martin; brothers, Jason Martin (Brittney), Lee Holmes (Haley), and Matthew Martin (Elizabeth); sister, Michelle Holmes; best friends, Daryl Manning and Steven Rogers; mother-in-law, Lavonne Risher (Jimmy); father-in-law, Perry Phillips (Ginger); brother-in-law, Stevie 'Al' Johnson; sisters-in-law, Whitney Johnson and Lacey Donastorg (Vidal); and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.

Memorial Service to be held at The Harbor Worship Center on Thursday October 22, 2026 at 1:00 pm. The family has requested everyone wear GA Bulldogs apparel, red and black, or camo to the memorial service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, a charity proudly supported by Walmart, in honor of Jesse's memory.
